Transport Malta Certifies AirX for Aircraft Maintenance
AirX continues to grow with the addition of EASA Part 145 Approval Certificate for maintaining their expanding fleet. This certificate, issued from the Civil Aviation Directorate within Transport Malta, allows the company to maintain 3 different aircraft classes: Airbus A340, Boeing 737, and Embraer ERJ-190/Lineage 1000.
Transport Malta said in a statement it has been instrumental in AirX deciding to further invest and grow its operations on our islands. The Authority is committed to continue strengthen the aviation industry in Malta, which offers better work opportunities and injects more money in our economy. The aviation sector in Malta is becoming one of the strongest markets in the world. It is contributing to 2.5% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product, while creating more than 3,200 jobs.
The diverse AirX fleet now stands at 21 aircraft across 6 different types, with 2 aircraft under management in the United States. The newest member of the family is a Lineage 1000 which can carry up to 19 people. The company has exciting plans, with more fleet additions expected along with further investment in Malta.
